General Shipping Terms
- Billable weight will be calculated based on whichever is higher between the actual (dead) weight and the volumetric weight of the shipment.
- Shipping fees do not include customs duties, import taxes, GST, VAT, or any other charges levied by the destination country. These charges must be paid by the recipient.
- compensation—if applicable—will be limited to the declared shipment value or a maximum of INR 8,000, whichever is lower.
- Additional fees may apply for address modifications, incorrect details, or deliveries to remote or extended service locations.
- The total declared value of any individual shipment must not exceed INR 25,000.
- Out-of-Delivery Area (ODA) or remote location surcharges may be imposed by the carrier for destinations outside standard service zones.
- All shipments move under the respective courier partner’s Conditions of Carriage, including any insurance coverage provided by the carrier.
- Any claims related to international shipments will be processed strictly in accordance with the applicable carrier terms and service policies.

đź’Š Shipping of Medicines
For dispatching pharmaceutical products internationally, the following documents are mandatory:
A valid prescription issued by a registered Indian medical practitioner, clearly mentioning the patient’s details, diagnosis, and prescribed usage.
Original purchase invoice from a licensed pharmacy.
Copy of the receiver’s passport and valid visa.
Prescription quantity must not exceed a 90-day supply. Requests beyond this limit will not be processed.
Only branded medicines with proper labeling (manufacturer details, batch number, expiry date, composition, and declared value) are accepted.
The following are strictly not accepted:
Unlabeled or non-branded Ayurvedic, Siddha, or Homeopathic medicines
Any liquid-based medicines such as syrups, oils, tonics, or herbal extracts
Intimate or sexual wellness-related products
⏳ Processing & Inspection
Shipments containing regulated, oversized, or sensitive items may require additional review time and export documentation.
For safety and compliance, all packages received at our warehouse undergo mandatory inspection before international dispatch.
🍱 Homemade Food Items
Homemade food shipments are subject to customs approval at the destination country. Clearance responsibility lies entirely with the consignee (receiver).
📱 High-Value Single Item Shipments
A single product (for example, a mobile phone) valued above INR 25,000 will attract an additional handling fee of INR 2,500 along with applicable shipping charges.
Maximum declared value permitted for such shipments is INR 50,000.
📦 Address & Delivery Compliance
The recipient’s full name and address must match valid government records for customs processing. Incorrect or incomplete details may result in shipment rejection, and any related charges will be borne by the customer.
For domestic deliveries, an OTP verification will be required at the time of handover. Customers must provide an accurate contact number. Failure to share a valid OTP may result in return of shipment, and reattempt or return charges will apply.
USA – DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) Shipping Guidelines
ShopShipIndia offers a Duty Paid (DDP) shipping option for the United States, subject to the following conditions:
The DDP facility is available only for shipments weighing up to 22 kilograms.
Items containing built-in or loose batteries (including rechargeable electronics) are not permitted under this service.
Pharmaceutical products of any kind are not accepted in DDP mode.
Homemade or unpackaged food items cannot be shipped under this category.
Electronic devices may be accepted; however, an additional customs processing fee of INR 500 per shipment will apply.
Limited quantities of liquid items may be considered, subject to approval and applicable clearance charges.
Cosmetic and personal care products are allowed with an additional INR 500 customs handling fee.
